Graphic designers use a lot of different softwares to design everything we see every day. A lot of them are not free. and most of them are from Adobe.

Photoshop
For example they use adobe photoshop to make an images look better. They edit them, do some retouching on photos. Graphic designers also use it to create digital art and composite. They use customizable brushes and textures to produce original digital illustrations from scratch.
Lightroom
Adobe Lightroom is similar to photoshop. It’s for adjusting light and color on photos like in photoshop. Lightroom is different because it’s for organizing and batch-editing images.
Another software that is used for organizing is called bridge. Bridge uses adobe camera raw to edit photos, which has the exact same tools as Lightroom. However, double-clicking an image in Bridge opens it in a separate window or Photoshop, whereas Lightroom keeps you inside a unified, fluid workspace
InDesign
Adobe InDesign is a software for designing multi-page documents and print or digital media. Which is why they use it for mostly posters or book design or magazines.
Illustrator
Meanwhile Adobe Illustrator is used to create and edit scalable vector graphics like logos, icons, drawings, typography, and complex illustrations. The name says it all. It’s for any kind of illustration.
Each software is used for different things.
Website design
Yes… for web design they learn coding to design them but there are options to design them without writing everything with code. Coding is mostly for computer scientists. Sometimes we need them to build a specific type of website. For example all the websites that we all use to buy stuff from. Then comes the graphic designer to make the creative part of it, which is what we all see when we open a website.
